New licensing system: The Point System

Speed cameras are first about generating income. Cape Town recently announced new regulations on cameras, but so far I haven't seen them implemented.
What are these regulations? I've noticed the ones in PE have been swapped out for ones in yellow cases so perhaps they are beginning to emphasise the cameras as a deterrent and not a revenue stream.

Anyway - if you get nabbed you can still have your day in court and plead your case.
There was no need for a law specifically targeting mobile phones.
Yes there was - they're dangerous to use when driving.

They have to bright yellow with reflective tape and placed in plain view. They may only be placed in locations where fatal accidents have occurred within a specified period.

Mobile traps also have to be visible. They may not deliberately hide, although there is some allowance made for safe positioning of the equipment and personnel.

No there wasn't because existing laws already cover this.
