New Linux Vixta! ( Linux version of Vista )

lol - its so funny to look back at my post from Nov.
A week after that I upgraded to Ubuntu - and have not touched winblows except where absolutely necessary since.

My bad :( ( didnt think to do a search in Software and Hardware... woudlve thought they posted it here )

No matter, a fresh thread is way better, I bet they've updated Vixta since that last thread ;)

Why, oh God, why would anyone want to make Linux look and behave like Vista? I am actually insulted by this, it is blasphemy. If you want pretty install Kubuntu and load up Compiz-Fusion.

@acidrain, if you are looking for an alternative to Windows, check out Kubuntu -

You can run most Windows apps on Linux using Wine, really easy to do.

Please, for the love of all that is holy, do not use Vixta. It is an abomination.

Completely agreed.

But also, I think that if you want to look at switching from windows, you've got to accept that you will be using something different. I think you're only making it more difficult by trying to cling on to a bit of windows in a new and initially foreign environment.

Practically speaking, if you're thinking of trying linux, please, please for the love of whatever you hold precious, go for one of the popular distro's. It will make finding help a lot easier.

FWIW, I think that much of the same can be said for PCLinuxOS.

I have being using vista ultimate 64bit.
I am not much of a Linux fan, but this is sick.

Going to download this :)
