Hehe it is odd. I wonder if they'll have a keyboard power on using the touchid?Just wait until all the people who will never buy it and use it, find out where the power button is.

I'm guessing it's somewhere inbetween. Studio Displays don't have power buttons so might just be that there's an ultra efficient sleep/off mode and the power button is for a hard reboot/forced.I mean it will definitely wake with mouse or keyboard, not sure about turning on.
I think it’s just Apple trying to get people to stop this archaic crap of shutting down Macs as if they were Windows machines.

Very keen to see what's in store for the Mac Studio and if there's any value overlap now since this tiny thing maxes out at a M4 Pro chip with 14‑core CPU, 20‑core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine, 64GB ram, 8TB of storage, and 10gbit ethernet. The wifi is still 6E and TB5 ports are only on theM4 Pro chip versions.Exactly.
Mac Mini M2 used 1W in sleep mode. There was never any reason to turn it off.
It is odd = where it is. I was commenting on if the keyboard Touch ID would just double as the "power button" like on a MacBook.
No touch id? Disappointed
Exactly.

This is going to be one of those things where the internet goes wild but Apple probably knows like 90% of its Mac users don't use the power button all that much. In fact the only time I use mine is when there is a hard reboot required...and I've maybe used it once in the last 6 months

The base model for R13500 is really decently priced but lol Apple trying to gouge people R4500 for the extra 256GB if you go with 512GB storage, rather just get a 2TB thunderbolt external SSD for that money.Pre-orders are live on Macnificent. Pricing looks good, but no option for the M4 Pro chip with more cores.
