Don't they have totally different TDP's and stuff? AFAIK the Core i7-920XM is a proper quad core, which runs much hotter etc than the other i-series mobile chips, which are dual core.

Over the years I've dealt with just about every brand of notebook out there including Mecer, and if they're to be considered crap then they're just as crap as everything else.

I imported mine through have2have.co.za. Did the same for my bro. If there should be a problem, I can return it locally. Doubt I'd get any problems though, they're really quality builds.

Never ever buy a Mecer, it's a POS. Got one lying on my desk here I would like to kick to hell.
