New Microsoft Edge will support all Chrome extensions

Now we're talking.

Considering how good Chrome is, I'm intrigued to see how Edge differentiates itself. Hopefully not just touch and drawing features.

I'm skeptical. The compatibility issues will be real. An important app to me in Chrome is Click&Clean. Without it, I'd only ever trust Firefox.

How would that app work on Edge given that browser data would be stored in a different location? Surely a newly adapted version would be required in that instance?

This is a very bad development.
Chrome IS the World's biggest and most pervasive piece of Bloatware ever written and developed. It has invaded every single Android device and cannot be removed. Even when an update makes the device unworkable because it cannot be removed from the device!

Just disable it and install something else.

There is no facility to disable it. It cannot be moved off the main memory onto and SD card. It cannot be blocked on my Android device. It re-installs or re-activates itself, everytime you dare run and update of any sort. It is an absolute curse, because it has now effectively made a perfectly usable smart phone useless as there is no memory to install something else. It refuses to allow the Lite version to be installed either. And then you guys moan about windows!

There's always Lynx :)

Eh, unused memory is wasted memory. I believe Google folk have said that many times in developer interviews. :p

Chrome on desktop seems to be the best browser available as far as I can tell. Don't see anything else worth switching to.
