New Mini-ITX build

Guys I found something that's even better than the Raven but unfortunately it's also a Silverstone case. It might be worth me shoving one in my bag when I go to Europe in June.

Silverstone ftz01? I literally went through all those cases. I had to stop because it made me sad.

A fresh 6700k. Have the components now to get the system running, just need the ssd and proper cooler.

Yeah but even 2k is a crap load more. I could probably import it myself for less.

Yeah I'm going to be going overseas within the next 3-4 months so I might shove it into my suitcase.

I found another perfect case and it's readily available locally. The only issue is the max graphics card length which is 210mm. That should be perfect for most cards though. It's the Coolermaster Elite 110.

Cool, all components working nicely together. Can't do much with it until I get the SSD though but booted into Ubuntu just fine :D

So in the end, the build changed slightly due to availability as well as me changing my mind. Decided to go M.2 drive (SATA) as it's basically the same price as the 2.5" drive but I lose the clutter of the power and SATA cables.

So the final build will be:

Corsair CC-9011047-WW Obsidian 250D Top Windowed Panel Cube Mini-ITX Chassis R1,499

[-]MSI Z170I-GAMING-PRO-AC Intel Z170 LGA1151 Skylake Mini-ITX Desktop Motherboard R2,499[/-] <- No stock until April and only up to 60mm M.2.
Asus Z170I Pro Gaming Intel Z170 Chipset LGA1151 Skylake Mini-ITX Motherboard R3,139

Corsair CP-9020060 CX600M 600W (12V: 552W) 80 Plus Bronze Certified Desktop PSU R1,383
Intel i7-6700K 4 GHz Quad Core Unlocked 14nm Skylake Socket LGA1151 Desktop CPU - Cooler Not Included R6,360
G.Skill F4-2400C15D-16GVS Ripjaws 16GB (2 x8GB) DDR4 2400MHz CL15 1.20V Desktop Memory R1,259

[-]Samsung MZ-75E250BW 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal Solid State Drive R1,699[/-] <- Decided on the M.2 variant rather.
Samsung MZ-N5E250BW 250GB 850 Evo series M.2 Solid State Drive R1,925

Corsair H100i GTX CW-9060021-WW Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler R1,999.

Total: R17,564

I intend on getting a 1440p monitor like this one: http://www.wootware.co.za/dell-u251...2560x1440-anti-glare-led-backlit-monitor.html and a GPU once the new chips from AMD and Nvidia come out.

I might sell my u2515h

Still deciding.
I think i want to try a 144hz monitor, but i can't decide on whether I want to sell or not because i don't know which 144hz monitor to get.

Cool, I'll probably only get the monitor next month anyway - I cannot torture my bank balance any further this month.

Just let me know if you're interested in selling it as it looks like a great monitor.

Got my AIO cooler and SSD this morning, everything up and running and running super fast and cool.

Problem with the Corsair H100i GTX is that it doesn't fit nicely in the case - the tubing on the radiator interferes with the connectors on the back of the motherboard so had to install it with the tubes in the front which then doesn't allow me to install the front case fan. Thinking of maybe selling it and getting one that fits better so I can get that front fan installed. It's fine for now though.

Will post some pics later when I've tidied up the cables.

I had that problem as well when I had to move my water cooler from a Coolermaster Sniper to a Lian Li PC C60 case.
I am now sitting with stock cooling instead and sold the cooler to GTX Gaming.
Struggling to find a decent water cooler for the Lian... its depressing.

80mm fans are too noisy also...to get them to move a decent amount of air, they have to be moving pretty quick. If you're OK with temps, no need to suffer the whine.
