I developed it myself. I can do the conversion on yours too. The secret is to drop it as you close your car door. Timing has to be perfect, so it needs to be done by a pro (like me). Even the screen and glass stay intact, with a rather pleasing curve...

You just couldn't wait for Apple to release their curved screen phones, could ya?

I did that to my last 8ta phone. LG P920 with 3D screen and stereoscopic camera. Didn't work so I skullstepped it and dropped it off at their rosebank shop and walked out.

Anyone want to buy the prototype? It is of historical significance. I will only charge you the price of a 64GB iPhone 5S... for a little piece of history.

Dropbox for historical significance stuff is in Knoppieslaaghte near Diepsloot. If you attach charger and headset there will be no admission fees. :)

You need to go to Oriental Plaza JHB (or similiar place), find special screwdrivers for your phone. Disassembly the phone, separate metal bracket (working as antenna) and strainghten it up. Check if everything is in place, maybe it will be working again (assuming display is not damaged).
DIY or if you buy such tool and bring it to me, I might be able to help.

I can only imagine the hours of dedicated training put in, to arrive at the perfect angle of glide, and proper reverse-swing to combat the (admittedly negligible) amount of coriolis force. Did you begin with a collection of Nokias, maybe several Blackberrys, before working your way up through some LGs or Sammy's, and what do you plan for the grand finale - that of a Bent iPad?

Would be epic. Just google-image'd it - hardly any around! :)

Thing is, it is working 100% as it is... Just took it to Digicape here in Cape Town. It was passed around to basically every staff member. Lots of giggles and amazed expressions. They reckon I should just keep using it as it is, because they believe it is not repairable.

I did not need any practice. I just visualised what needed to be done, calculated all the variables and went for it...

It is repairable, but there is a possibility that phone stops working. So, if working, it is up to you...

Ah. Gotcha... I misunderstood your previous post. Thought you thought it was not working. The same as the repair agents, I am also too scared to try anything. I'll rather keep using it like that for the next 12 months (hopefully it lasts).

Looks interesting, the big question though : Does this modification void the warranty ??
