New MTN data deals launched

MTN has launched a range of Back-to-School smartphone and data bundle deals for prepaid and contract customers.

"Whether it’s back-to-school or back-to-work, MTN is helping South Africans get a fresh start with a range of Back-to-School device and data deals for pre-paid and postpaid (contract) customers," MTN said.

Seems like all those deals are only for an additional data sim. Still don't get why they won't allow you to just that data on to your existing SIM rather than having to have a different wifi device or something or a dual sim phone.

Nice headline there, so its not actually a R349 for 150GB data deal.
You have to already have an existing 24 month contract, then add a bundle which costs R349 for 100GB with 30GB night data and 20GB Home Data (only for Google Classroom, Zoom, WebEx, Skype and Google Hangouts)

I've given up trying to understand MTN data prices. They now appear to have bundles bundled inside bundles on pay as you go contracts that you can use some of now and some of later and some between specific hours or before certain dates but only on designated websites.

I'll stick with the "Buy X amount of data and get X amount of data" packages from other providers thanks.

MTN should fix their bloody billing system and data allocation first before launching new deals. Many Black Friday deals are still not fixed.

What is the difference between Anytime data & home data?

Is home data fixed to a tower close to your address?

Either way these deals are terrible.

Buy Telkom data from Afrihost, Axxess etc & buy a used mifi/4g router.

Im not a fan of MTN via ISPs either.

Fixed 4g is a dumb concept & so is only approving a limited amount of routers.
