That probably got popular and now MTN realised with a shock clients are ACTUALLY using that data. Thus the panic and the changes. Other ISP's will now follow I guess.

Are they even allowed to change contracts mid term?
And if you do not agree to said changes does that not make your current contract null and void?

This was taken to the consumer tribunal last time who informed Vodacom that they must change their onerous contracts. In any case this is MTN so just give them one month notice. Would like to see the backflips once everyone does it.
