Currently there are only ASUS and Intel P55 boards available in this country.

How long would it take for the big brands like MSI and Gigabyte to start bringing there boards in?

I'm patiently awaiting my MSI P55-GD65:D

No idea but it should be pretty soon, I want a gigabyte board . What chip do you plan on getting ?

Since when is asus not a big brand...? Lol. Give me an Asus above Msi any day :)

I fully agree that ASUS and Gigabyte are the two top Mobo manufacturers atm.
I just cant look past the fact that the MSI seems like it offers the best "bang for buck combo" between the three.

Plus its the only with with an OC Genie Button!!!!:D

I know the links for the reviews for the high end board but the feature is set is very similar on the GD65 model

I'm still confused about getting the i5 750 or the i7 860....decisions decisions

Get the i7 860, you will definitely get a bigger epenis when compared to if you went for the i5

Performance wise i don't know, Google :)

I've been googling the last two days, my gut says get the i7 but my sensible side says i5.
In gaming terms they're pretty equal the i5 only really loses out in multi threading applications where the lack of hyper threading hurts it.

They both can overclock to 4GHz on air cooling too.

i would go for the cheaper one then (don't know which one is cheaper atm because i haven't researched them yet :) but yeah... I would go for the cheaper one)

with regards to ocing, its pretty much "the norm" to reach 4GHz with the new cpu's

+1 to that, my cpu on it's own takes 180w of power under 100% load

maybe we should all just build pcs around the atom processor and then only use our Core 2 Quads, i5s, i7, i9s etc when we really really need to

/ot. This electricity price increase thing like every few months is BS

Damn.

That's basically why I plan on getting a netbook and only using my new rig for when I need more horsepower.

Yeah Yeah!!:D

Im itching to upgrade... Either a new i5 rig or upgrade my current rig with a q9550 and 4870
