Ya, but I need to learn how.
They said overclocking a 2.4 is exactly the same or even better as having a 2.6GH quad
It's very easy to overclock the Q6600

Just something else to note about the CPU if your into OCing. Ask for a G0 stepping Q6600. They run cooler and OC better than the B3 stepping q6600's.
Go to advanced options and there is a "wrap quote tags around selected text" button after you have highligted the text you want to have quoted.
What exactly are you referring to about the cooler? The fan that you must put on afterwards? As in what fan?
I mean the fan you put on after the heat sink, that is dedicated to the CPU, not the case fans.

If you spending that much, why not try a QX9550?
Easy, like this.
You just click the quote button at the bottom right of any post.
I can do it too

Aren't you quoting nicely...LOL.
Probable the best fan would be an ANTEC Tricool fan(120mm) which has 3 speed settings. Cheapest one goes for about R130(red leds) and goes to about 2000rpm if i recall correctly.

Is there some confusion here? I'm not sure what kortel means, but the cpu cooler Zenbaas mentions is the heatsink and fan, you don't need anything else for your CPU.
Sorry if I'm misunderstanding.![]()
Careful of a mobo with the 680i chipset. They do not play well with the new quad core intel 45nm chips so its possible that you will not be able to upgrade your cpu in future.

Well now this is where the **** sort of hits the fan. Maybe the 780i chipset will fix this?
