Also had that nagging feeling so just upgraded from my Q6600 4gb - to a P67-B3, 8gb, 2600K.

Hope it arrives soon!

I was thinking of doing the exact same thing but then my budget and some common sense got the better of me ;)
so now im waiting about till I cant play any new game on medium.
 
I think i can get a sb soon, but not sure about the board. Only seem to be able to get intel p67 & h67. Leaning more towards the h67 & a i7-2600k. Will not be overclocking so i think the h67 should b fine. Any suggestions?/comments?

If you are not overclocking, you could get the 2600 instead of 2600K
 
The k is like R150 more, so might as well get it. To bad there are no boards that has igc and can be overclocked. Heard the h67 chipset does open turbo mode though. Not sure how good that is

z68 chipset should be out mid May, and it will support both, though I doubt this helps you at the moment.

well.... may then get a cheaper board now and get that board when it comes out :) ... makes u wonder y they did not release that board together with the others?

Wish I could get the UD7 from rectron!

What case are you getting? I am clueless as to what to get. have seen the coolermaster HAF 912, but that has soo many fans its probably gonna sound like a vacuum cleaner
 
Seeing your "KPU" I suppose you'll overclock it, then you need "black" discrete MB from Gigabyte - UD4 and above.
Thanks for pcint! :) Well, not so fresh assortment though.
I have CoolerMaster elite 370 case - note on bottom placed PSU and a lot of holes. Actually I always remove side panel and use quiet fans - system works fine.
