Best bang for buck, the 8400GS sux though, I'd ask them to maybe swap it out for a HD3650, probably another R600 odd.

You end up close to R7000, but you have an AWESOME budget pc.

9600GSO is just a Re-Named 8800GS there will be 2 versions:

9600GSO 384Mb & 768Mb both with 192bit Bus - kind of like the old 8800GTS's

9600GT will kill a 9600GSO 384Mb casue of the 512Mb/256bit vs. 384Mb/192bit buses
Not too sure about the 768Mb/192bit version, should be able to keep up at lower resolutions...

If you're in durbs you can pick up a full Q9300 quad core machine for R4500, excluding a monitor tho.

You reckon? I have never lost any equipment to load-shedding and it has happened a lot here over the years

My CPU blew with the on & off load-shedding...

Best thing to do is get a Surge Protector, I have had one for years and have lightning stike my house and blow a TV, VCR and DVD player and PC was all good

Suppose the same princible is applied when the power goes on it's a huge ammout of power coming through at once and it blows the system.
