New phone ideas?

Would appreciate a few suggestion for a new phone. Vodasure / Cellsure approved my claim and now I must choose another phone. The budget is R5000 max as I have to pay excess and extra liquid damage excess. :sick:

I have no brand and OS preference. Basically just looking for the most phone for R5000 from Vodacom.
 
Get the Samsung Wave,for the money the best phone you can get!

Samsung shop at Vodaworld is selling them for R3600.
 
The HTC Desire retails for anything between 5 and 6k and I saw the pricing for the Nokia N8 coming in at about 5k. Lots of options there!

Thanks for all the responses. Just wish they had a decent price-list of phones. Not just the pamphlet the specials is printed, or tells you to look in the cabinet and tell which one you like.
 
what kind of phone are you looking for? smart phone, feature phone, camera phone, business phone? big screen, touch, slider, candybar, qwerty? weight limitations? brand preferences?

top dog currently is the Desire HD, but it only suits a specific customer set. some more info would go a long way towards providing suitable advice.

Would have liked the Desire HD, but I think that is a bit out of my budget. Compared to the phone it will replace (HTC Touch Pro) i would like.

Bigger screen and better touch screen(if phone has touch screen) .
Weight preferably less than previous phone as it was as heavy as a small brick house.
Qwerty not needed as it was never used in the almost 2 year.
Must have GPS
Camera anything over 3mp is fine
Also noticed that with the touch pro I always had to run around looking for signal. Reception is a problem where I stay but was much worse with the touch pro even with other radios and roms.
And must be faster and more responsive then previous phone. (not that it will be difficult)
