Saw a power supply with an fan on the inside an not on the side like my one in my pc. Is this new technology or only a kind of make?

My Thermaltake Truepower's fan faces inside, dont know about the other brands.
What kind of PSU do you have? & the one you saw?

I really dont know, never looked at the brand, but it was a 400w for around R350 at frontier.

Mine is a 300w.

Will a fan on the inside do the same job? (blowing hot air into the pc itself)

The noise levels?

generally the PSUs with one fan blowing upwards, the fan is 120mm and will generally be quiter than having 2 80mm fans wit one blowing into the psu and one blowing out...........both types of psu's remove air from the tower

I have a coolermaster realpower 450w with a 120mm fan on the inside. It's not really as quiet as i'd have hoped.

The fan should not blow into the pc box. It will probably extract air from inside over the psu parts. Mine has two. One pulling from the box and the other pulling from the PSU. They are bigger in order to keep them quiet, but blowing psu air into the box is anything but ideal. If this is the case, get another one.
