So I need to get a new powerbank as the ones I currently have just aren’t “powerful” enough.

I have an iPad Pro 12.9” and then also a Nintendo switch which I would want to power from the powerbank when on long travels.

The 3 Romoss I currently have “work” but the Sense 10 dies rather quickly when I charge the iPad (haven’t tried the switch on it yet).

For my phones etc they work well so looking to get another one that will be able to at least charge the Switch or iPad Pro enough before dying.

Any suggestions please.

Another option:

I use a couple of their products.
2 iPad charges
1 Switch charge
Or
1 iPad
3 Switch

Was looking at Anker but they are pricey in SA.

I am traveling to New York early December so hoping to find it there (and a few other Anker items) at a better price as I have only heard good things about Anker.

I have 3 of that 5 way chargers with USB C and USB A, it charge all my Apple devices at once.

Bought it from Amazon (Anker store UK), and delivered in London, got someone to remove from packaging and bring here.

The Romoss. Can't find specs on it, does it do power delivery and if so what kind?

I just bought one now :D Not even for me, as a Christmas present for somebody. Nothing says "Merry Christmas" like "Here's some electricity". Welcome to South Africa. Next year: portable water purifiers.

Popped into the forums looking for what the general consensus is regarding powerbanks.

Price went up to R765 so well done to those that got it discounted. My question however is what is the best compromise between size/weight/mAH - or what line of Romoss is highly recommended. Sense 8 or sense 6 or polymoss or LT or Solo series or one of the many others? Anything specific or is the Romoss 30000 best one can get?

Honestly that 30000 one is just the biggest I've seen. It might be overkill. My other Romosss is 10000 and even that does everything I need it to (at least 2 full charges), and a lot of smaller 5000 ones will still be fine for at least one charge (most cellphone batteries are in the 2500 to 4500 range). Sure, the Quick Charge capability is nice to have (and this one has native USB-C), but at the end of the day if it doesn't have power in it then it can't do anything. So I'd say you need to figure out how many charges you need for how many devices (before you get access to power again after loadshedding), add that all up and buy conservatively. Then again, with Eskom the way it is, a couple 200 0000 devices wouldn't be a bad idea :D

I managed to score the Romoss Sense 8+ as well - was just curious if I perhaps should have gone with something smaller or portable or different line. I don't have specific needs - just future proofing. It was not even planned. Just saw it and I was like hmm... let me get you as well (an impulse buy). But that does clear up some questions I had - thanks. Guess it was a good buy after all.
