I have a Officejet 8500A which seems to be a bit broken.

Looking to replace it as it will probably be cheaper than repairing it.

My needs:
- Decent quality colour printing
- Scanning
- Cheap to run (eg ink cost)

Looking in around the R1500.00 bracket and have come up with the Brother J105 or J200

I found a review here:

Are there any thoughts/recommendations before I buy?

Many thanks

I can sell you my old HP6500 and will throw in an ink cartridge as well. It still works. Price neg. :)

Tri-colour laser printer, yes they are expensive but the toner lasts so long.

I have had a hp??? a cannon mf???? and now a Brother MF???.I replace the ink when I need to print something.Sometimes the ink is replaced without printing. The ink dries up without printing in about 6months.And the cost of the ink is about R700.00 for every replacement.A few replacements without printing would pay for the lase printer.
My suggestion is to replace with a laser and some of these are cheap. The ink can last for years as it is dry powder.
