New process makes milk last for six weeks

ITT: Confused people.

The long life milk you're buying is UHT milk. Its dead as a rock.

This process applies to pasteurised milk...which is just mostly dead. Hence this process...making it a little more dead.

Oh yeah +1

Oh dear, I can't stand that stuff. Can't drink it. Thats just the worst rubbish you can take in. I'll rather drink coke.
Thing is muesli & coke, while certainly edible, is not the smoothest breakfast combo for when you've run out of milk.

Try that with Pronutro, also just water doesn't really do it justice.
The milk substitutes are OK though. Like coconut milk on muesli is nice if you add some fruit on top of it...nice tropical vibe breakfast.

The substitutes tend to be priced a bit hectic ZA side though. EU side everything is fkin expensive so doesn't really matter either way but always cringed a bit ZA side about the price diff normal milk vs substitutes.

Also...none of the substitutes are what it says on the tin...rice milk = 2% rice & 98% not. Thats just the way it is

Absolutely nothing wrong with long life milk. It's heated then cooled the taste difference is purely because it was almost boiled. Take "fresh" milk put it in the microwave or boil it on thw stove, put in fridge and let it cool then drink it, you'll find that it tastes like long life milk. Simple question is just, do you want your milk ultra heat treated UHT or not?
