Hi Guys

As some may have seen already, I have started a new project over at www.parceltracker.org

The aim of this service is to provide visitors with a centralized resource to track and trace parcels. ParcelTracker.org works a bit different than other similar services. You will not be redirected to another website when checking a parcel. All results will be displayed on ParcelTracker.org when a query is done.

I have also implemented a service whereby users can get e-mail updates each time there is a change in the status of the parcel.

ParcelTracker.org currently supports 13 couriers - Berco, Courier IT, Dawn Wing, DHL, Fastway, Fedex, i-Parcel, RAM, SA Post Office, Speed Services, SupaSwift, TNT and USPS. New couriers will be added as we go down the line.

I am just looking for some reviews or recommendations whereby the service can be made better or improved.

Wow, great job House. Twitter's Bootstrap Framework working some wonders there for ParcelTracker.org's looks ;)

Very nice job. I've tried it with a tracking nr and it's fast. Subscribed as well to receive email notifications.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I am still busy improving on a few things and adding more couriers.

Please let me know if you experience any bugs or problems.

Thanks everyone.

Seeing to it that it is such a hassle to get http://www.emssouthafrica.co.za/EmsWebSite/index.htm to work properly, I decided to implement my own package value calculator on the front page of the service as well.

Hope you will find it more user-friendly and useful.

Edit: We also just implemented a new Courier Service database where users can search for and find courier services around the country. Users can view the database, search by town or courier name.

so I signed up last week to receive notifications
besides the confirmation mail, I never received any notifications...

It is a very neat website - I like it.

Just curious - how do you access the information from those couriers? Do you just use the same call that their website uses or do you tap into some API?

Suggestion: I would put the package calculator on the side, instead of the bottom. I would never need to scroll down since all the links fit on one screen. And - the current location of the package calc just looks like an after thought.

Hi VG008

Thank you for the comments and suggestion. Yes, I will still be looking at a way to implement the package calculator more effectively.

Currently I make use of the same call the majority of the companies do, but for the larger international ones I am making use of their APIs in grabbing and displaying the information locally.

just tried another parcel by speed services
when I track using the speed services as the courier i get this message:
Parcel number xxxxxxxxxx could not be found in our database. Please verify the number or try again later

when using the SAPO as the courier it works...

I have also added it to my notify list, hopefully it works this time

Hi rodga

Speed Services has been experiencing some DNS issues since last week and they still have not sorted it. http://www.speedservices.co.za

But yes, you can add it to SAPO and you should get results there.

Hi everyone, just a short note that we have added additional couriers to the system. Hope you will find them useful.
