Hello everyone!

So I'm sure you guys have heard of the refreshed plans for the Macs. This includes the Air and Pro series, but Apple is also bringing back the plain MacBook series. It has a 12" Retina display with a bunch of other advancements,and is shipping to "select Apple resellers".

I have a question for you guys: if it is shipping on 11 April, when do you expect the new 12 Mac to be available in South Africa? I'm currently looking to get a MacBook Air, but hearing about this new MacBook has got me tingling.
 
The link posted only refers to the MacBook pro though? I am talking about the new macbook being shipped on 11 April, which is neither a MB Pro nor an Air.

In either case, if it's being shipped on 11 April can we expect in in SA soon after then? Like the iPhone 6 took forever to get here.
 
Normally it's about 6-8 weeks behind on "refreshes".

With this being a brand new model though it might be a little bit longer.
 
The only Mac missing is the one yet to be launched 12" MacBook. The new trackpad will take some getting used to. The way it's recessed is a weird feeling.

This is true. Though, in practice, it feels exactly the same, even down to the depression of the trackpad. I was deeply impressed by it, it's a small but substantially impressive upgrade.
 
I wonder when fnb will start stocking the new one's. There smart device offers page looking a little dismal at the moment.
