Try charging via usb with tablet turned off - it only won't charge via usb when powered on...

Sorry mate, won't part with mine. What happened to the power connector?

I have no idea, it just stopped working like it should. It does not charge properly, have to put the device off to get it to charge and the softkey lights stay on till the battery runs dry.

Phone them and ask?

I'm deciding whether to take my device in for repair at the local Pakistani store or just get a cheap Edgars, etc. tablet instead. I do not want to spend R500-00 +/- on repairs on an old device.

Ya also cant see me spending more than a couple of hundred to fix this issue when there are so much cheap options out there no

Shame. Another mate had similar problem for a few weeks, then his S7 just died completely - hope you have better luck!
