Ahaha that's funny But not always true...?? During peak-time we use Broadband Talk @ 50c/min for our longdistance (>50km) 'landline to landline' calls, compared to Telkom's 80c/min!

I did see that ad, and I was wondering the exact same thing. How stupid can they be?

There was only one Telkom add I loved...it was the one where the 2 black guys would shout over the hilltops to talk to each other. Then telkom came and installed a telephone in both there houses. The one guy then phones the other and while on the phone opens the back door and shouts "Malomglabom"

with this month's telscum account they sent the following ad:

"Rate our rates!
Fixed line to fixed line, Telkom offers the lowest rate per call . Even some international calls are cheaper than local cellular call"

Telkom's monopoly over fixed line telecommunication appears to have rewired their brains or something

BTW the Ad with the two people in the Rural area that used to shout to each other, never had a phone service, and Telkom were in a local Newspaper (Daily Dispatch) because they paid the person that did the part a fraction of what a actor would get
