Guys, so help / advice please.

I wish to install adsl (uncapped) in one of our properties. There is no telephony there at the moment.

1. Where do I begin? Do I just call Telkom and sign up. Their website is so confusing.
2. Looking at a value option - not more than around R500
3. Are there any specials out there at the moment?

Thanks in advance

Telkom costs here

then decide on an ISP based on how much more you have left in your budget, or go the route advised by MyWorld

Do you mean that an ISP can arrange for the line installation and I dont need to go through Hellkom?

Looks like a few people have already mentioned our products and specials. Please PM me if you have any more questions about what Afrihost can offer you :)

Also new to ADSL so excuse the ignorance....

Just a Q... Í took the Telkom R499 1Meg, 10G option. If I move to Afrihost, I'll be paying R397 for uncapped, but still need to pay R150+ to Telkom for the voice line? That will bring it to R550+ pm?

So the considerations would be, for that extra R50,

1) will I get the same or better speed?
2) Do I need more than 10G!!!

Any thoughts?

You will get mostly the same speeds, except perhaps on things like torrents or peer to peer sharing. Depends on what your priorities are, cos you get a lot more bandwidth. It's like 10GB vs 20 times that amount!!

Thanx for the reply! Seems my requirments are less than 10G so no point going to uncapped...
