New To Warhammer Online

Hey Guys, Strated play WO 3 days ago. I play on Norn. I would really like to play with some fellow south-Africans. How Do I join you guys. Etc. Any help will be appreciated. And yes I'm a Warhammer Online n00b. I'd like to play with some locals

Good luck with that, there were alot of us when the game launched last year, but everyone slowly dropped out. I'm sure there are a few around still though (and a few that are checking out Land of the Dead) , but even when i still played this year i joined a european guild as the sa guilds were simply too small or inactive [and in WAR you kinda want to be in a big guild] .

The servers where i encountered the most SA players (yes i have chars on all those servers, server population can make or break the game for you):
Karak-Eight-Peaks [destro & order ]
Karak-Hirn [order] [this might be dead though]
Karak-Azgal [destro]
Karak-Norn [destro last i remember]

I do however recommend you join the most populated server possible. This game hinges ENTIRELY on server population (unlike WoW). So don't join a medium/low pop server simply because you know of 1 or 2 saffers on it (chances are they have chars on multiple servers anyway). This game is about the big massive battles, taking castles and territory and just don't happen with little 5-man groups. There might happen little 5-man skirmishes but not without a much larger [30+] force roaming around too.

If you don't come right here, ask around here : http://forums.prophecy.co.za/f146/ . There might be a slightly larger MMO crowd there, i know there's 2 or 3 guys on there still playing off and on.

Still plan to resub for a month sometime and give the new content a whirl - apparently it's quite nice if you like a bit of PVE - the RVR (or rather RVE) is still a bit fail tho. But I suspect RVR will never really work, not in a sharded + bifaction environment anyway, no matter how good the game is.

With MJ leaving and Mythic falling in with Bioware now, I suspect some very radical changes in the coming months or perhaps year. what those are, who knows. Could be massive changes to the way zone flips work and perhaps the elimination of fortresses, instancing of keeps and who knows what else, to the game simply being cancelled, or it going a F2P route with microtrans. This game is skating on thin ice. A pity, it had so much potential. Possibly still has.
