Okay, at long last I can finally purchase a new TV.

For the first time I can get a nice new plasma/led tv!

I would like to get a tv that I can hook up to a 500rms watt logitech speaker set up and stream movies from my pc in the other room via cable or wifi.

I went to dionwired and they did not have one Plasma tv for sale. Anyway, I would like to get a tv for watching movies and series mostly. I am looking for around 42" to 55". Budget around R10k. The room is quite dark where the tv will be. I have a gas fireplace. I would like to mount it above there, but I am worried about the heat from the fire in winter.

What do you guys recommend?

I don't know. My biggest new TV problem is I can't afford a new TV
If I Could I'd look into an LED TV with WebOS I think.
When I'm rich like you I'll look into it more and get back to you lol

For a R10k budget, you will need to look at Hisense / Sinotec / etc.

Do you have a brand preference?

Groupon sold 60" plasmas a couple of weeks ago for R10k. Maybe have a look there if it is still available.
