Looking to buy a new TV

1) http://www.samsung.com/nz/support/model/UA46EH5006MXRD
Samsung UA46EH5000
Game has a special of R6499 and Bloem's expert trader sells it for R100 cheaper

2)Samsung UA46ES5600
Makro has a special for R7499

I already have a Samsung Smart 3D blu ray player.
Can anyone comment on picture quality between these 2 tv's, thats my main concern?
And 2nd concern is CINAVIA. Chances of UA46EH5000 having it is much less.

Not sure about the picture quality but only having 2 HDMI ports isn't that good seeing as lots of things use HDMI these days.

On the HDMI factor I would choose 2) seeing as it has 3 HDMI ports and it also has Digital Output which the first one doesn't have which is good for surround sound.

What does a Smart Blu-ray player do? Will it essentially make your non-Smart TV, Smart?

it will add smart functionality to your TV
I use it for netflix now and again
Can also use plex
Some models come with wifi as well
Its not an ideal solution, but if you dont have a smart TV it will do the job

Can you play Angry Birds or Skype on your TV with a Smart Blu-Ray player.

i think on the newer ones you can play angry birds
skype will be a problem since you wont have a camera?

I definitely don't care about playing Angry birds on the tv. I have it on the pc and I never even play it. Maybe I can find a store which has both those on display and then I can choose according to picture quality as that is my main concern.
