What is the point in building these new universities, if our basic education is so poor that 99% of the people from disadvantaged backgrounds will not be able to pass university anyway?

To the parents that can't afford to send their kids to Bloem in the case of Kimberly, this move is the greatest news.

So are you saying that universities must not be built even though we have seen that there is a shortage. Fact is there are more people wanting to study at Uni today than can be accommodated. Do you remember the fatal stampede at UJ ?
