New UTU

Im shure the UTD's are capable of 2Mbps. No ways even Iburst could have been so short sighted to sell R2800 modems that everyone is just going to have to throw out in a year or two.

In Australia they still use the same modems are are upping their speed constintely, up to 8MB/s some time i believe.

So it shouldnt be a problem. Is that really the new Iburst site though?

Well Errr I was topping 3Mbps about 8 months back waiting for the chickita in Town....DL'ed those Linux ISO blitzvinnig :D Now that I can't explain that except I was in the 'Dead Zone'...so the base station was practically waving at me....howzit.....here's your Fedora ISO's :D

Yes the new site's a beaut isn't it? I had all the materials a while ago....but obviously couldn't use em....I mean....the holding company woulda looked stupid....all ths stuff was only supposed to be released 1 May......lol...I guess the plans to kick the **** out of .....erm *cough* Free G :D is underway.....

Ja and my Stock is only arriving tomorrow :(

:D :D iBurst TV-remote *UT-U* here I come.....lol

Hey pls tell us if the UTU has the same streght as a UTD.
You mentioned this before buty it sounded like it was weaker possibly, I dont really wasnt a worse internet connection just because of the modem.

Your connection sounds perfect to test a modem on anyway bcause its so "fragile".

Firmware!

Even the October Firmware on their site....make sure your device is uptodate with that one.....it resolves the Alignment flaws and makes the link more stable....*in case you haven't run it yet*

I will have to get the specs on the antenna used in the UT-U, haven't had much time busy with loadsa other projects........I seem to recall the UT-C was a di-pole.......this UT-U is similar in design *compact* so maybe the UT-U is using the same type antenna just greater gain......you must remember these antenna's that are sold separately are peaked on the iBurst freq Range......although at 11-14 K's away....a Yagi will work better.....you may pick up other wireless frequencies too but at a distance like that for instance you need to increase the noise.....ie....a lesser -dB reading...Yippee for Yagi......looks crap though.....

Pitty no Iburst person can tell us on this forum.... Maybe Shaun can help...yes??
