New Virgin Mobile Sims

Hi there guys

Looks like the long awaited sims are finally available. Virgin Mobile will be starting to send out the new sims this week. Don't know when we will receive it though but I'm sure it will be before the end of the month.

Please guys let us know here as soon as you recieve your new sims and if it is working well.

128K sims?

how are they sending the nu sims out to us?
do u know if the nu sims will be available at the shops where we got the original 64Ks from?
I would be more than happy to go collect from Musica, instead of having to wait for delivery....

The new sims are not available in the stores yet. Will try to find out when it will be available in the stores.

They have everyones details that I sent to them. Virgin Mobile will send it with the couriers to your door.
 
OK, so I have a 64K SIM which does not work in my E620 card. What do I need to do to get a 128K SIM?

That's great service, but it must cost them quite a bundle!
Can u check if we will be able to collect?
Surely they must do normal deliveries to the stores, to stock up on normal starter packs....
If they can include the "specially allocated sim for swap for Mr X" in the shipment, and notify me (& the guys who don't mind collecting) that it's ready for to collect, that should save them quite some munny.
I'm sure lots of us only get home late, nobody there during the day, so the courier will have to deliver afterhours.
Sure, it aint my munny, but from my side, they can rather spend that funds on upgrading the network, bring us 3G sooner..... :)

hi guys, u having luck with the new 128K sim in E620 MTN card?
I just had a call from VM... my nu 128K sim is on the way... woohoo :D
here's hoping it'l work as anticipated!

Then I'll forward it to Virgin Mobile.

Is it possible to give us an email addy so we can send requests ourselves.
I'm not comfortable with giving out my cell number to "strangers", even retails outlets, i always give them my work number (switchboard-not direct).

I'm tired of the MAY-I-HAVE-5-MINS-OF-YOUR-TIME calls promising me the world. LOL
 
I got a call last friday, for a delivery address, and on monday they delivered it to my home. As I have been out of town, I called this morning to do the sim swap, and about 15 minutes thereafter it is working.

Speed is a bit on the low side (GPRS) and my dash says Vodacom, not Virgin ? donno what wrong with that, but at least I can stay connected the whole day for a few bucks.

I've sent my contact details and everything in as well as phoned their data dept to request a new sim card... this was over 2 months ago - i still heard nothing.

My old simcard is probably not even active anymore - because that's the only reason i bought it - to work in my MTN data card... but it never worked - and i got no new simcard.... :(

I can't believe it. I'll see what I can do. Alternatively you can go to the thread with the details of the guys at Virgin Mobile and send Carmen Doyle a e-mail.
