New virus seeks 'ransom' for files

And in related news, scientists have discovered an even more powerful variant of this virus. The so called "Telkom Virus" descends on a country's telecommunications network and prevents people from using it unless they pay a hefty monthly ransom. Appeals for government help have so far been unsuccessful :)
