Upgraded the vodephone software by downloading the 77mb!!!! file from vodacom.co.za trying to fix the problems of randomly having no incoming data while on 3g

Well the problems seem to be sorted, but im not ready to accept that this program needs 50mb of my system ram! How much ram does your latest version use? Is there another program i can use?

PS, can vodacom not make an ap name that we can download these updates for free? 77mb updates are just not cool :/

I'm lobbying....
IMO there are several Vodacom sites that when accessed from Vodacom's 2G & 3G networks, should exempt the user from data charges or usage deductions from their data bundle, certainly the downloads should be exempt [maybe Vodacom could have a downloads.vodacom.co.za site], as well as speed.vodacom.co.za and help.vodacom.co.za [would be an incentive for people to use the service] and also www.vodacom4me.co.za - all of these should be free from data charges [e.g. no OOBR] and should not deduct usage from one's data bundle...

@Leno, if you are using Windows, Ginggs Tool works well and is also really small:) The only downside is that it doesn't have an sms function. But is does have USSD functionality which the Vodaphone software doesn't have.
