André de Ruyter versus Dan Marokane

Eskom’s data showed that the power utility performed significantly better under its current chief executive, Dan Marokane, than under its former CEO, André de Ruyter.

De Ruyter’s tenure as chief executive has been a highly debated issue, with some praising him as exceptional and others questioning his leadership.
 
Morning boss, I’m more worried when Eskom starts charging us to breathe air in our great republic.

No more bailouts right ? Who’s going to fit the bill for those lavish life styles ?
 
ADR never had a hope in HELL.
Solar is the only reason ESKOM appears to be doing well.
They are selling less than they were 2 years ago.
Plus bailouts fool the clowns at the top to think that ESKOM is doing so well.
 
love all this whitewashing, when in reality they doing a better job of covering up all the corruption and incompetence.

even ADR didnt dare confront it head on when he was CEO, only when he was on his way out, bags were packed,
and didnt care about making them angry, did he reveal how bad things were.

what I find interesting is them paying MYBB for some positive press about their performance.
maybe some people are partial to some whiskey?

Nope, then we would have constant moderating of posts

Nobody can prove these things ANC do, it's just an obvious abuse pattern for us, a study in piggie behaviour.

maybe so, but I find it interesting all the positive spin about Eskoms performance, and the bad mouthing of the previous CEO being elevated and promoted.

Eskom has nothing to shout about, Id be very very quiet if I was them given the damage with load shedding and stage 6 did to the country as a whole.

I don't care for ADR. But trying to compare these 2 are hilarious.

The game is rigged. ANC and co controls Eskom. ANC is just not syphoning as much off for a while so they can say 'look it's all better' till later.

ADR said that high ranking politicians were connected (not surprised).
 
Look, we live in mafia state. Our country is long gone and criminals are running it.

Andre gave us the most devastating loadshedding and we barely had electricity. With the new guys we can live again. Businesses can somewhat survive. For how long? I don't know.

Would I want to go back to the Andre era?

Most definitely not. He gave us hell and we were choking.

Either way we have no decision in this.

Doesn't matter what happens. We will always get the short end of the stick. No one cares about us. We just have to adapt and try survive.
 
You have to give credit where credit is due. We have not had load shedding for a substantial time and "hopefully" Eskom has turned the corner. IT is now about getting the pricing structure back in order (although I feel we will still have more shock increases for electricity).

Hopefully Dan can sort out the pricing next
