New vs Old: Dan Marokane and Andre de Ruyter

It's a matter of why would ANC want to change their attitude, little else IMO.

They're a dying party, so now they must.

You have to give credit where credit is due. We have not had load shedding for a substantial time and "hopefully" Eskom has turned the corner. IT is now about getting the pricing structure back in order (although I feel we will still have more shock increases for electricity).

Hopefully Dan can sort out the pricing next

I'm certain pricing will never improve. If I could afford it would be off the grid yesterday.

In my opinion Andre De Ruyter got the ball rolling by making a start,in especially routing out corruption and mismanagement and he was gaining momentum with that endeavour and becoming quite successful. You can actually see that sabotage increased during his tenure and that's actually and indication that the "people at the feeding trough" were getting nervous, they would then try to discredit him and hopefully get him out of the driving seat,so that they could continue with their corruption,ok long story short, now Mr Dan Marokane, comes into the picture and continues the momentum that Andre De Ruyter had already started and he has measurable success, becauuuuuuussssssse of De Ruyter and not in spite of him. That's my 5 cents

Pricing will increase. ANC piggies need to eat.

Eh let those who believe it to be true, believe it to be true, same as those who think Eskom has a fleet of OCGTs running constantly for two years.

You forgot to mention that fuel prices go up each and every December, convenient for the cadres supplying diesel to Eskom for the OCGT's running 24/7.

Well to be fair, it now statistically has swung over to petrol does go up in December more than it goes down. Plus two years running of it increasing, but like they even have control over that :-P

Doesn't matter what happens. We will always get the short end of the stick. No one cares about us. We just have to adapt and try survive.

I guess we should just try enjoy this improvement for whatever it's worth. But like you, my guard is permanently up.

Agreed. But
would anyone here take Andre back if he was nominated and available. Not me, and I like the dude.
