New VW Polo

Still, there's 2 things I like a lot:

The new car is 7.5% (or roughly 76kg) lighter, which is an adult passenger weight advantage, helping to reduce fuel consumption.

and

Customers wishing to be even more environmentally aware can specify the Bluemotion package on the 66kW 1.6 TDI which lowers average consumption to only 3.8l/100km.

Me wants a Bluemotion.

No **** you like.

It could been a piece of actual horse turd with wheels bolted onto it and you'd have liked it because it was the new VW Polo.

Agh im not a blind fanboi.

It does look nice, the interior looks very "upmarket" stylish and dare I say a little Audi influence:o

You dont like the look Blue?
The Blue motion is nice aswell, 3.8l/100km:eek:

It's got quite a classy look. Fairly conservative but certainly not ugly.

But watch VWSA release engines from 1982.

I like.
Price it right (Imo R115000 for the entry) and I'll get one.

Did you even read the article? FSI is not old, FSI technology made the RS4 what it is!

I like.

Thats the scary part, even though they releasing 1.2 engines:sick: Ill be very surprised if they R115k!

The backside looks a bit...bleh....why could't they just rework the current model..I'm not liking the new Golf6 direction of all things VW.

ROLMAO, keep dreaming mate...I can't see them going that low...they'll make up a ton of excuses why this car should be around the R150k mark...devalued local currency, new technologies, blah di blah di blah.

Don't like it. With everyone else evolving their mini-hatches VW seems to be following Toyota's methodology and sticking to the safe track.

That backside is so boring. Nah thanks. Will still sell like hotcakes though...**sigh**

Front looks but OK, but rear is ugly. Sides is a definite improvement over the current Polo. Hope they move the indicator far enough from the headlight so you can actually see it flicker.

Interior look is pretty good.

You obviously know nothing about cars with your Toy comparison. German cars have always been sleeker and smoother cars and not over the top like others...

His comparison looks quite valid to me.

Toyota was known for their conservative cars revision and the Golf 6 and new Polo doesn't exactly seem to be far off from their previous incarnations.

The current Polo and MK5 have a similar look no?
The older Polo has the MK3/4 look?
So the new Polo should have the MK6 look?

MK2 looks like its based on a Mk1
MK4 Has a similar styling to the MK3
MK6 looks similar to the MK5

Seems like the odd numbers have new bodies and the even numbers are revised versions of the older car... VW tradition perhaps?
