Hey guys

Ive been running a little business in and around my varsity and decided to move it online. I just finished the website, it's really nooby, all static html and stuff, but Im actually quite proud of it for now.

I know 0 about databasing so havn't used it at all, but if any1 knows some decent guides would be sweet.

It still needs a lot of work but any suggestions or advice would be awesome

Here it is
www.pccomp.co.za

Ok

Step 1) Grab a SWEET template from a free template site that suits your busines.
Step 2) Open the template in free HTML editor (Pagebreeze)
Step 3) Edit the default logo and menu buttons with Photoshop.
Step 4) Copy the main index.html file and rename it contactus.html, aboutus.html etc etc, and use the HTML editor to link the different HTML pages to your menu bar.
Step 5) Add all the content that you need with the HTML editor. Copy and paste stuff.

Upload the entire site in it's structure on your PC to the server. Browse to index.html and whaala :D

Building from scratch is painful.

Ouch - its aweful :)

Looks like it was stuck together with notepad. Could do with a few pictures, different colours, fonts, T&C's, maybe link some of the products back to the manufacturers site. (For the cpu's)

You haven't populated the screens.htm yet so take it out or put a under construction page - not a page not found error.

Also a last updated or a prices as of mm/yyyy otherwise they could be last years prices.

+1 on the template - there's loads out there - you don't have to buy one. There's tons you can use and customize to your needs.

For DB stuff do a google on mysql, php, tutorial

Oh wait, I see it's meant to be a 'shop'.

Mmm bro - I'd just go with a simple free cart like ZenCart or Cubecart.

Ignore the above then. :D

GL

EDIT: You could even do what your doing now, but doing it with the steps above, although somewhat vague will still be a HUGE improvement.
