New Windows 10 update lets you kill annoying startup apps

Microsoft has released its Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18965 (20H1) for Windows users who have signed up to the Insider programme.

This build allows users greater control over applications which restart upon powering up your PC - a feature which has been requested by many users.

This will give you better control. Not just for apps you add to Startup. Helps to read the article.

....apps have the ability to register for restart, which helps in a few situations, including enabling you to get back to what you were doing if you need to restart your PC.

Windows now puts you in control with a new app restart setting. When turned on, Windows automatically saves your restartable apps when signing out, restarting, or shutting down Windows, and restarts them next time you sign in.

So if I was listening to music while restarting the music app will open when I power on again?

I bet Microsoft spying services will not show up in there "better control" app

Have been experiencing this with Chrome and office.

Restart pc and then it opens where I left off.
