New xbox 360 slim

45nm for both CPU and GPU. Jasper makes the RROD almost non existent, this should kill it completely. Though any console is bound to have other problems like DVD Drives packing up.

The black does look nice, I like it.

I really don't understand why PS3-only users always have to say something bad about the Xbox 360. It's really unacceptable when you've reached 20+.

PS. I'm really interested about what they did with the whole DVD Drive flashing with this new build! Let's see :)
 
why gigabit ethernet? 1080p streams perfectly over 100mbps port, and yes it does have integrated WiFi (n), so 300 mbps for wireless is to be expected .

It's also quite, which is a big plus. My first 360 was like a 747, second one loud too (bit softer than the DSTV PVR), i hope that this one would be really quiet.

I'm really keen to see what the pricing on this unit is locally... I'll def be getting one to replace my old xbox360.... black will just look so much better in my HT setup.... :)

Convenience is a big enough deal. I have enough cables and boxes as it is without having to find somewhere for grey brick. Now if everybody decided external bricks was the way to go I'd have ten or more of these things lying around. Maybe this new Xbox will at least have one that is small.

Same price as the current Elite.

The new Transformer look is really edgy and futuristic. It's way better than looking like a another household appliance that you find in the kitchen:D
 
MS say it will be the same price.... but thats not to say our little conniving distributors won't try make a few hundred extra because its nice and shiny and new...

dont think so, MS local distributors haven't shown the same level of price gouging as core and ster kinekor
 
Can I ask a stupid question...

Why the fsck are people moving their consoles WHILE they're on with discs spinning inside them? Are people seriously this dense?

Well some people do move the console around when sorting out cables etc.. They're gonna be in for a surprise...
 
If you're sorting out cables and stuff, then your equipment should be off....

I'm sure the PS3 also behaves badly if you pick it up and shake it around like a lunatic while its on.
 
Maybe.. but the PS3 Blu-ray drive locks the disc into place when it has been inserted. Something the 360 should do as well just to prevent things like in the video happening

MS tried desperately to fix this issue but Nintendo and Sony have already patented the methods required.
 
Oh please. There's no good reason to move around a 2k+ console that is switched ON and with a disc SPINNING.

MS should leave it. Anyone who do this deserves to get their game pwned and worse.
