News servers / Rapidshare

I signed up with diggichilli, and I am trying to do some downloads

If SAIX, IS, MWEB news servers do not work, I am going to have to try out Astraweb, but If I am going to be paying for this I can also get a Rapidshare account.

I am not sure which is better to download from


What do you guys think? Which is better?

Im using Astraweb and have maximum use of my 4mbps pipe, most of my downloads are from Merlin's Portal and Binsearch. I can't comment on Rapidshare tho

rapidshare is not a wise choice, the nzb's are more stable and you can get more from them, than with rapidshare, also if u dont have a 4mb line then rapidshare is kinda gona be a waist of money

What do you mean "more stable" ?

I use local news servers and rapidshare. I prefer rapidshare because you don't have worry about data being cashed, or the servers being bogged down at month end or data only being kept for a week/month. Nzb's = more work.

And its not like RS so overly expensive...
