Newshost.za.net is BACK!

Hi Guys

Sorry for all the down time on the site but we have now transferred the site to a faster and more reliable server. There was quite a lot of down time unfortunately, due to a failed router, how they managed to take so long to replace it is beyond me.

The site how ever is back up and should be more stable and more reliable than ever.

...And yes it's still local :D

It looks like we just killed another host :(

Site seems to be down again along with webafrica's main site too... sit tight, might only be minor!

EDIT:NVM, they're back! We dodged a bullet there :)

LOL I also wanted to post about their site just being down a few minutes ago. Luckily I tried it again, and they were back up again :)

It's Webafrica guys, what else do you expect from the best ;) Doubt they'd ever be down for more than a few minutes.

Big thanks to the newshost team and the webafrica guys.
:)

Thank you Newshost

Site is down again? Gets blank page with "Error Db".

Hi, sorry again. Our database was being moved to the new mysql servers at WA but it seems like it was a disaster.

I see on the download page that "Download Limit (Used / Allowed ) : 3 / 25".
Has NewsHost started with torrent-like ratios too?

Hi, i introduced a download limit because several members felt the need to download every single NZB from a particular category. We could not afford wasting bandwidth in this regard so i took action. Donors obviously take preference with regard to download limts, we have structured a download limit per Rank which is being monitored to see if our limits are sufficient. If you are a regular member and have contributed with Uploads then we will be more than happy to reset ur limit. PM myself or Bullfrog for more info or assistance. I will NEVER introduce a ratio system as we are a community site, we just had to take more control because bandwidth is a tad expensive. Hope this sheds some light. Regards, Bouncer

is there no way you may be able to put an international mirror at the bottom of the local download button and allow unlimited access to those? I have yet to run into issues with my limit as an Uploader, but just wondering if mirroring it to an international site will help, so those with int access can rather click those buttons, I know I will.
