Is it just me or is newshost server slower during day then @ night?
The reason I ask is cos i dl last night at full speed now my con suffers just to stay above 10 kb/s?? any1 else having this?
sorry if it is a noobish question but am new to this newshost.I normaly just use dc++.

IMO stick to dc++

I would if local dc servers wasn't so empty:/ Or if i had uncapped dsl for inti servers.But i don't see the local servers filling up or me getting uncapped dsl any time soon.

During working hours there is typically more traffic(international and local) that has a higher priority. But 10kbps for uncached isn't bad, would be piss poor for cached.

lol, fat chance of that happening. Even the ninja central thread is still hanging around and open.

Close thread please..
kthxbye

:mad:

Why, was it not a legitimate question?

Pe-Killer, like Cadavre777 said , its probably got to do with the massive shaping and throttling that the ISPs do during the day.

Also anything that is not cached on the server will be pitifully slow.

Well if you getting 10 KBps from NewsHost then that's fine, how big are the NZB's you're downloading ?!

I only get 10k a sec when stuff is not cached.
If its cached, i get 400k +
and lets not forget that NS has been pretty much buggered lately.
