Say you were in a bad car wreck or got the crap beaten out of you. What do you do you have facial lock on?

I expect that is when you would fall back on the trusted pin code

2013 it came with the Galaxy S4, though it wasn't very good.

Android's already done that, though it was apparently easy to open with a photo.

That's the normal face unlock using your front camera that came out in 2011 with ICS and updated in Jelly Bean to support winking so can't be fooled with a picture.
