Nexus 7 Screen damage

Hey guys, I'm a new owner of the Asus Nexus 7 2013.

I have an issue with it as it is looking as if its showing LCD damage.

If I turn the screen off and on, it comes right after a while, but only some times

Uploading the images is just failing constantly

I bought it from someone on gumtree.

It was sealed and stuff.

I have the warranty document but i don't know who and where to take it too

That's the biggest problem with gumtree. I would try get hold of the seller to find out where they bought it and if they still have the receipt, and contact ASUS SA and see if they can help you. Unfortunately if it is a grey product- ie imported from the states without going through the proper channels, you may need to ship it overseas to get replaced which is going to cost quite a bit.

It's unlikely to be a software or firmware problem, but just in case, have you tried (when the device is working) uploading the latest Android 4.4 (I think that's the number) 'Kit Kat' software (the original N2013s came with the previous 'Jellybean' software). You never know if it might just fix it (it certainly repaired a lot of the Nexus 2013's original bugs) and you've got nothing to lose.
