I just bought this game, any pointers for me?

Anyone else find the drifting more rewarding to get right than the other games. Playing Carbon made me re-install Underground 2, found it a much better game all round.
 
what you guys mean to short, to pass everything takes longer than most games :) its way better then the oldies :)
 
I found that I practically finished Carbon in 1day. It is very short, but it is actually better that way. When the game gets dragged out many people get irritated and then never finish the game. I also think they probably want you to play online.

The drifting in carbon is awesome!! It is by far the best system they have put in all the NFS games. The only problem I've found with Carbon is that every other game I own feels sooooooooooooo slow motion after I've played Carbon :P Even Quake3.

Is the handling a little more realistic? I loved the idea of underground2 but the weird airplane-like physics was too easy. I don't expect Gran Turismo or GTR just a little better than before.
 
I agree- no point having some super long game, that you can just never finish. That's no fun.

Starting to ge into this one, and it got me occupied for a while.

Likin the multiplayer function. What do you think the best car is?
 
i also finished in about 8 hours, except for the final race, kept me going untill about 9, i hate games that are dragged out, but honestly 9 hours??????? bit short for me
 
Brilliant game, just far too short. Feels like a demo, but it's sooooo much fun :) Much more fun than MW which became a chore for me.
 
It was alright, but wasnt sooo cool for me such as MW or NFSU2. Where were the neons? And for crying out loud, DRAG racing was dropped. Drag racing made NFSU & NFSU2 for me. Last but not least, Carbon's ending isnt so rewarding such as MW's. It was awesome to escape at the end of MW, it was quite a challenging and action packed !
 
they want you to play online in ranked games too, they rewarding you when you get 50 points. anyway game is short etc. Anyone want to make a local server and anyone who wants to join , join the hamachi network they set up. username Myadsl pass 12345 so we can get playing . Easier way is to join irc, shadowfire server and #nfs channel im always there and always up for a game. lets get this group together and get some local games going.
 
with the little time i have to sit down and play games, it took me just over 7 months to finish "Most Wanted" - Bloody good game!. But As for Carbon... Finished it in 2 days!. Graphics isnt so hot, Gameplay is too easy, and the amount of bugs in the game - Eish!.
 
PS3 carbon

Just bought Carbon on PS3 =/ it sucks that the game is so short and i cant play online coz im waiting for the iso loader!
