I got a Core 2 E4500 this morning. It is a 200Mhz fsb cpu with an 11 :D x multiplier. Pushed the fsb up to 266 and the cpu is running nicely @ just under 3Ghz. The temp is around 35%.

hey... thats not bad... "worlds first pc/oven" feeling a little peckish while you're legs are being burnt by the air coming out the pc? well... JonnyQ has the answer... simply but in a chicken, duck or miniature horse and out comes the best roast chicken/duck/salami...

You guys think it will catch on?

LOL :o, You got me there. Will try 333fsb later, 3,6Ghz should be an "OK" overclock.

At that speed i would probably be able to cook a whole cow. :D:D

Running @ 300Mhz fsb now = 3.3Ghz, seems stable, temps at 38%:D:D:D (or degrees should i say), stock voltages and all.

Trust me, that CPU can go waaay further, my E6300 is sitting on 3.22Ghz on stock cooling (it runs at around 35 degrees idle - sometimes makes it to 50 degrees under hectic load), though I have a Zalman CNPS7500-AlCu CPU fan in the mail so as of Monday I should be running somewhat cooler...

Provided you've got decent case ventilation, you should be able to push that processor to over 3Ghz without too much hassle. Otherwise grab yourself a Zalman (the one I am getting is R394 including shipping from Take2.co.za).

What case do you have?
