Nikon D40 review...

...In case you're wondering what ldmelsa and I are going on about. This review explain pretty nicely why, as an entry-level DSLR, the 40D makes a lot of sense:

That, plus the fact that Nikon has a long, deep experience with this sensor and knows how to optimize the image data from it

The article is clearly written with a Nikon-user bias, but at least it's written in terms of other Nikon cameras, and the author is clearly used to some of the newer models.

I registered for the Nikon class. The voucher came free with the camera. Its happening nxt month if i can remember correctly. That should be informative. A whole day seminar on the D40. Explaining white balance, iso's, each setting etc.

I'm sure you can find tons of info on the net and that includes YouTube. Give it a try and see what you can find. I found many useful things on YouTube.

To get the most out of that, try to be as familiar with the camera as possible. Read the manual and go out and shoot as much as you can. The less time you have to spend fiddling with the camera, the more you'll get out of the lessons.

Does look like a nice camera, I went with the Sony rather though as I like the idea of more megapixels for nice enlargements.

I'm referring to his stuff in general - I dont enjoy heavy saturation.

Looks nice - a little better in Firefox than in Safari.

BTW - do you have something against showing EXIF?

I don't know why some don't show. Am I doing something wrong in PS? Should I use the save for web function, when saving jpegs?
