Nintendo Switch: Which Game to buy

So, I don't use the Switch very much but it's nice for a quick 'pick up and play'

Since I've not played many Nintendo games over the years, I'm not sure which to buy - the 3D Mario Odyssey (R752) or the 2D Mario Bro's Wonder (R1,129).

As a reference point for my preferences in the area of platformers, my favourite platformer of all time is the Ori series (and I really tried but was unable to get into Hollow Knight)

Thoughts? Recommendations?

Edit: and yes, I know the correct answer is both, but if you had to choose only one, which one

They're both great games. I have to say, I like Wonder more. It's so much fun and the quality of the production is exceptional. Maybe it's becoming my favourite 2d platformer of all time.
 
Played both, both great games.

I personally enjoyed Odyssey more, likely because I generally prefer 3D games. Odyssey is definitely a longer game so perhaps value comes into play.

But you can't go wrong with Wonder either. Just be advised that it isn't a long game.

If I was a given a choice between the games to replay after a bout of amnesia, I would choose Odyssey.

P.S - completely agree with Ori, love those games

Odyssey is on special so I might go for that one and wait for the other one for a bit

That said if you like Diablo others to look at on Switch as well
Hades
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
Ys Origin (Currently on sale)
Torchlight 2
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 & 2
Darksiders Genesis
On platformer series Rayman series also not bad

Edit: and to answer your original question. You will get both so buy the cheapest one now and the other when its on sale. (Not like Nintendo sales are anything to write home about)

Only buy Luigis mansion 3 if your don't play invert Y, as the game has no option to change this.

I was gonna buy one just to play this game, and because I somehow “lost” my Pro controller in my house
 
I would get a switch just for the Fire Emblem games
Played them back in the day on a GBA and they are a blast
