Nintendo trumps Xbox

finally you post an article i agree with. nintendo are sooo cool, they just dont sell to the idiots (yeah you mr ps2), they're so innovative and seem to balance capatalisms demand of repeat success with creativity better than any other company.

Nintendo basically invent everythign cool which gets taken over by some other console later down the line, heres hoping they patented this idea. I will have a nintendo revolution way before any ps3 rubbish (and its only the size of a vhs cassete... A CONSOLE THE SIZE OF A VHS CASSETTE, and doesnt play movies or little kareoke crap... wanna know why mr ps2? wanna know why they don't wanna integrate your fridge into it?? CUZ IT A GAMES CONSOLE)

That "revolutionary" controller is so lame just like their kiddy games ... they can't make any decent kit and now they are selling TV controllers dressed up as control pads.

My DSTV remote looks more interesting than that pile of junk.

well n64 was probably the coolest console ever, the virtua boy is from 94/95 so you may as well mentionatari jaguar or something.

the kiddy games thing i hear alot, i dont know whats up with that, i mean the most hectic res evil was on nintendo.

if you dont understand nintendo this is what you need to know, thier games arent made to appeal to idiots.. they dont expect thier audience to just be happy with the odd boob or blood in a videogame, they are innovators and have made ALMOST EVERY major advancement in video games since appearing from rumble controllers to anolougue sticks to 3d platform games, 2d platform games, rpgs, mip mapping, anti alias in 3d, gourad shading etc etc

and btw tibby, i bet you've never even played a virtuaboy, well i have and its awesome.. its obvious why it didnt sell, because it was expensive and only had like 12 games and the red didnt appeal to people but when you played it it was really well thought out because the red was used to control the way your eye interprets an image and the 3d was cool because of it.

All the idiots can go straight to hell and be stupid there.
 
That remote has to be the ONLY thing i like that nintendos made...

N64 - sticking to using ROM cartridges while the PSX had FF7 and used CDROM.

After the release of the SNES the N64 was a damb squid except for the two Zelda games and Super Mario 64.

Need I remind you that first timer Xbox outsold the GameCube ???.

And the Virtua Boy ... it sucked the donkeys hind ar$e tit and it looked stupid with that tripod and played even worse and totally screwed up your eyes with the red shutter LED effect.

Afaik only 100,000 was sold before it was mercifully canned and only a dozen games were released for it.

The designer (he did the first Gameboy btw) later got kicked out of Nintendo for making such a dumb device in the first place.

So folks feast your eyes on this stinker :).

I will pull the video down to tonight but I can recall the Nintendo PowerGlove from the SNES days which also promised the same crap as they are now i.e "wave your arms around as if it was a sword".

Yeah right.

But it is a demo but I will be looking forward to gamers opinion when they are playing.

uh actually the cartridge is why it was cooler than psx, it has 64kbit gfx, no loading times and how can you even talk about final fantasy when nintendo had 2 zelda games on n64 and both were rated as "best games ever" by like every magazine around...

there was more on n64 actually, you must not have played one and be talking some trash after a quick google if you dont remember mario kart 64 (oh yeah, they invented that genre too, and are the only ones who made a fun karting game, best multiplayer racer EVER) banjo kazooie, wave race, diddy kong racing etc etc basically nintendo develop alot of thier stuff inhouse or to good companies like rare and they go for quality over quantity, so every nintendo game is fun when you pick it up where as on other consoles its just sequels with more levels or movie titles etc

xbox outsold nintendo gamecube because it was marketted by the largest software company in the world, i could have told you it would out sell gamecube before it was released. Do you even have a xbox and gamecube? I do and xbox is neat and beats the pants out of ps2 but gamecube beats the pants out of xbox just for the game play.

idiots will buy anything if you put it on tv and hype em up a bit, i mean justin timberlake outsold sage francis... but sage francis is obviously an aquired taste since hes a poet and justin timberlake is cheap trash to be in fashion with (actually thats a bad example, he was never fashionable... but you know what i mean)

Nintendo had an existing brand from the SNES days but yet Sony and then Microsoft managed to slap them silly twice ... the truth is that they had better products and the consumers voted with their wallets.
 
consumers are idiots who buy whatever people like me (yes im sayin im smart) put infront of them, personally i cant wait to get done with uni so i can start exploiting all these retards that assume ps2 is better than gamecube when they've never even touched one
 
I owned a N64 and GameCube. I used to spend a lot of time defending them, but after a while, the lack of games, video stores stocking PS2 titles only, etc gets to you.
 
I have to admit that I love my Gamecube, I spend far more time playing GCN & GBASP then I do PS2 & PSP, (only had the psp for a week so I guess I should give it time)

I absolutely love the linking concept, nothing more entertaining then playing Zelda and having your GBA linked up for certain sections of the game. Or FF Chronicles with all the hints and stats on your GBA.

The only reason I own a PS2 is for Tekken & GT. Although God of war will definately be another reason to own a PS. ;)

ITO of the "kiddy games" sure Nintendo caters for a younger group with a large portion of their games however there are still plenty titles for us "adults" and the graphics on GCN drill PS2 into the ground.
 
Strokes and folks at the end of the day.

I admire Nintendo's focus on fewer, more interesting titles, but the marketing weight behind Sony and Microsoft are hard to compete with. There seems to be a lot more sh!te on the PS2 than the GCN . . .

Personally I'm very keen to see this new controller, it holds a lot of promise, but at the same time, how long will it be before Sony or MS launches the same thing?

Oh well, my sons 1, it's still at least 2/3 years before we can gang up on my wife to get one ;)

Pa-leaze. If they don't start making games other than Zelda or Mario Bros. they are going to die. I mean, just look at they impressive lineup Xbox and PS2 has to offer.
 
I love my Gamecube as well, I find the quality of Nintendo titles to be far superior to the games on the PS2 or XBox. I agree with the general "cutesiness" of Nintendo, and I wish they had more mature titles available, but Zelda: The Wind Waker for example, while looking cutesy is an amazing game, and the quality of the title shines through. It's a pity that the next Mario won't be for the GC but instead Revolution... it is also depressing to find so few titles available on the GC compared to the XBox or PS2 - especially in SA.
 
thank god, nintendo fans, i was beginning to think i was alone. I think nintendo has a bad image because they dont really market thier games as "cool" to impressionable idiots but anyone thats picked up a nintendo product and played around with it will feel its the better console because of games.

I love how nintendo just does its own thing, its rebellious, when everyone else converges media nintendo go back to purely games.

I like consoles better than games on PCs and this is how I rate my stack of plastic

GC > Xbox > ps2

ds > gba > psp (but psp has a way better screen)
 
Yeah, there are still plenty Nintendo fans our there, but most people stick to PS, I often wonder if Sony would be half as popular if it could not be pirated.
 
O/T:Slimothy, you're one of the biggest hypocrites I've ever seen. In the "Off-Topic" section, you say that you hate people attacking big corporates (the M$ thread) "just because they have to" but now you attacking Sony?

On-Topic: How many times can they re-do Mario, Wario etc?
