My wife is very keen on getting a nissan juke, she loves the look of it and we went for a test drive and must say I quite enjoyed the ride. For R220000 its not a bad buy for an SUV, granted no offroading will be done with it.

Any opinions about nissan or specifically the juke?

Nissan puke

Rather buy a qashqai if you're adamant on a Nissan

The Puke reminds me of the Fiat Multipla.
No idea why Nissan decided to crimp the rear of the vehicle and thus reduce the available interior space.

We also looked at the possibility a while back - I find the odd-ball looks weirdly appealing. However the driving position just wasn't comfortable for me, largely because the steering wheel adjusts only for rake and not for reach. And the boot... ja, well... no, fine.

what were they thinking with those headlights ? If you can call it that.

I literally flinched with dismay when I saw it driving past for the 1st time, and almost wrapped my car around a lamppost.

/shudder

Yes... like a dog reminds me of a duck.

I think we are talking about a different car to the one you are thinking of.

Yeah, test drove it when it came out, the 1.6 Turbo (bloody left side wheel bearing collapsed). So that was minus points. Then when I sat in it, ah man, disappointment to the max. Interior was so plastic and boring. Felt & looked cheap. I would have taken one with all the extras (leather etc), but no... Took a Kia Sportage instead...

Sorry I meant crossover. I also rather like the looks, not too fussed about the boot the wife isnt gonna be doing heavy carrying! point is for R220k not much else similar in the price range? Dont know much about nissan, but havent heard anyone moan about their nissan, unlike french cars etc...

I'm a Nissan fan but have a look at the Suzuki SX4. When it came out it was about the same price, i think its more expensive now but its a great car.
Its got all wheel drive and a bit more space. Its a nice everyday car and you can engage the low range gears if you need too.

I think the u in the name should be replaced with an o

don't know about now, but the old nissans i found the the interior deteriorates rather too quikly!not the same build quality as a toyota or honda.
