A request by the media to visit President Jacob Zuma's Nkandla residence, with parliamentary committee members, has been denied.

Media24 made a special request to the parliamentary ad hoc committee on Nkandla for permission to accompany it when it visits the president's house on July 22.

The committee's inspection of Nkandla is part of its investigation after Police Minister Nathi Nhleko's controversial Nkandla report.

In a letter to Media24, committee chairperson Cedric Frolick said he could not approve the request because he did not have the legal authority to allow the media to enter the president's private residence.

The people obviously have no right to see where their money went… :o

Maybe they don't want us to see his bra Al Bashir who is enjoying the fire pool

Or to see the shoddy construction and the deterioration and neglect as is the usual cANCer trait.

Isnt the issue in question exactly this .... was cash appropriated from the tax payer in a fashion that is irregular?

Seems to me that the decision has already been made in some circles - JZ is off the hook, finish an klaar .....

/waits for Julias et al to be a pest in parliament again.

We paid for it sure as hell we'll ask to visit it!
