A bare SA National Defence Force clinic greeted journalists on a tour of President Jacob Zuma's Nkandla homestead on Sunday.

“This centre is incomplete because of the investigation,” the SANDF’s General Jimmy Mabasa said.

He walked through different areas used for observation, emergencies, medication, queuing and consulting.

A road separated the police barracks from the SANDF’s helipad and clinic.

"On my right is the residence for pilots and on the left there is the clinic. Once the president finishes his term, the structure on the right will be converted into a registration centre for patients. There is a clear division,” Mabasa explained.

“If a patient comes in, there is a gate that is used to enter this facility so that it does not disturb the homestead. There is another gate by the helipad."

The media was allowed into the homestead in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday for an official tour.

This visit comes after the SA National Editors' Forum said it was disappointed by the limited access journalists had during a parliamentary committee oversight visit to Zuma's home on Wednesday.

Wtf.... why the hell does a clinic like that need a dedicated helicopter with pilot?

Just looking at the pictures even more, the quality of the workmanship is atrocious.

I wouldn't even BEGIN to think about paying a contractor for that level of workmanship.

So where did the money go? What did we actually pay the R240mil for?

Look I know where it went, but why is nobody asking this from government? And no as much as I loathe Zuma, I'm more concerned about the multiple failures in governance that allowed this to happen.

Where is the statement of the auditor general, or the finance minister? Why no outcry over the way the money disappeared?
